Dr. Robert Murphy is from Danville, Illinois. He has a degree in Biology from Bradley University and received his D.D.S. degree from Loyola University in Chicago in 1981. Dr. Murphy completed a General Practice Dental Residency at Vancouver General Hospital in 1982. Dr. Murphy has practiced in Boulder for over 30 years. In addition to donating his time and efforts in supporting local and state dental causes Dr. Murphy has also travelled to Mexico and Panama to do dental humanitarian work. Dr. Murphy has volunteered with “Give Kids a Smile” and “Dental Lifeline Network” as well. Dr. Murphy served on the Colorado State Dental Board from 2004-2012 and was president from 2007-2012. Dr. Murphy has been awarded honors by the Colorado Dental Association: 2013 CDA Distinguished Service Award and 2005 CDA Community Volunteer of the Year. Dr. Murphy and his wife and daughters love living in Colorado.

Dr. Sica is originally from Chadds Ford, PA. In 1989 he attended The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He then moved to Philadelphia to attend Temple University School of Dentistry and graduated in 1997. Following Dental School Dr. Sica and his wife moved to Colorado where he completed his General Practice Residency at Denver Health. In 1998 Dr. Sica moved to Boulder and joined North Boulder Dental Group. He is a proud member of the Colorado Dental Society, the American Dental Association and the Boulder/Broomfield Dental Society. Dr. Sica provides dental services for the “Dental Lifeline Network” as well as “Give Kids a Smile” programs. When he isn’t busy turning out beautiful smiles, he, his wife and two boys enjoy skiing, camping and everything that Colorado has to offer.

Dr. Dave Welden D.D.S was born and raised in Carson City, Nevada. In 1997 he moved to Moscow, Idaho to attend the University of Idaho where he received a BS in Biology in 2001. From 2001-2005, Dr. Welden went to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After spending 4 years in Michigan earning a D.D.S. degree, Dr. Welden moved to Oklahoma for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. In 2006, Dr. Welden moved to Boulder and began working with everyone at North Boulder Dental. While practicing, he has been an active member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Boulder/Broomfield Dental Society, and an officer with the Boulder Dental Forum. He participates in the Give Kids a Smile program and Dental Lifeline Network. In his off time, he and his wife Nora enjoy skiing, hiking, and all the wonderful food Colorado has to offer.

Dr. Stephanie Nielsen is originally from Superior, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and went on to receive her dental degree from the University of Colorado, School of Dental Medicine. She has volunteered with the Colorado Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile, and has travelled to Guatemala to donate her services. Dr. Nielsen is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association and the Boulder/Broomfield County Dental Society. She and her husband Jeff are happy to be raising their twin baby boys in Boulder and enjoying all that Colorado has to offer.
Kristy Dhaliwal, D.D.S.

Dr. Kristy Dhaliwal was born and raised on a farm in Benton County Indiana. She graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She continued her education at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis earning her board certificate in Medical Technology. She worked for several years in the clinical lab primarily in Microbiology. She moved to Colorado in 1991 for a new perspective on life and a new job at University Hospital. It was there that she decided to pursue dentistry at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry, graduating in 2000. Dr. Dhaliwal has been practicing general dentistry in Boulder County since graduation. She participates in the Adopt a Smile program through the Boulder Valley School District. Dr. Dhaliwal and her husband, Avi, and have 3 teens, a daughter and 2 sons. She and her family enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors, hiking, skiing and camping.

Dr. Timothy F. Kyger graduated from James Madison University in 2010 with Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences and a minor in Biology. He then obtained his dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. After graduation, he completed a hospital-based residency at Summa Hospital in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Kyger is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Cincinnati Dental Society. While taking advanced education with the Spear Study Club, he continues his education in complex restorative dental procedures and is committed to provide excellence in oral healthcare and long-term learning. Having grown up in a dental environment, he understands, appreciates and values the importance of keeping patient care first. In Dr Kyger’s free time, he enjoys many activities, such as fishing, boating, skiing, snowboarding, golfing and scuba diving. Family time and sharing time with friends and colleagues is always special.
