Friendly Reception
There are several ways to make an appointment for your first visit. For the quickest way to set up an appointment, simply call us at (303) 477-1042 or stop by our office at 1001 North St. Boulder, CO 80304. You can also email us with options for days and times you are available or send us a note via our website. We’ll work hard to get back to you to confirm your appointment or suggest alternative openings.
We open at 7am Monday-Friday, we stay open until 7pm on Tuesday, and close at 5pm all other days. We look forward to hearing from you
Patient Paperwork
Completing patient paperwork ahead of your first visit is a very efficient use of time! We offer a web-based patient portal that we’ll ask that you log into and complete initial paperwork about your current health, any health issues we should be aware of, and your dental history. Completing these documents before your appointment ensures a faster visit for you! If you are not able to complete the intake forms online, no problem – we simply ask that you be at your appointment 15 minutes early to fill out the paperwork when you arrive.
Insight into Insurance
Part of the paperwork you will complete will be information about your insurance plan and any dental coverage you might have. You can be assured that our office will strive to submit insurance claims on your behalf to secure any insurance payments for checkups and treatments. If you don’t have insurance, we’ll provide you with the dental bill at the time of service.
Should you need any dental treatments at any time, our experienced office staff will work with you to understand the estimated costs before the treatment and discuss ways to help you manage the payments.
Health Check
Your first appointment will include a meet and greet with the doctor and a comprehensive and pain-free checkup. If you don’t have recent X-rays, we’ll take digital, safe, and quick images of your entire mouth. New, digital X-ray technology provides the most detailed view of your mouth, including any problems that aren’t otherwise visible. The dentist will chat with you about your medical history, past dental treatments and experiences, and any goals or concerns you have. Understanding the ‘big picture’ about your oral and overall health is the best way to start on the road to optimal dental care.
Dental Exam and Cleaning
We will exam your mouth and teeth, and this assessment will help serve as the baseline for all future cleanings, checkups, and any needed treatment. The exam will include checking the gums for a sign of disease, screening for oral cancer, inspecting any existing fillings and crowns, and looking for any bite or jaw problems. At a separate visit, your dental hygienist will clean your teeth and check to see how your at-home brushing and flossing is going. We can provide tips and advice for easier flossing, toothpaste options, and nutrition tips or answer any questions you have!
